Google… Not too dissimilar to your mobile phone if you think about it. We use it everyday, sometimes more than once, we take it for granted and we’d be lost without it. It’s everybody’s favourite search engine and clear to see why…
It’s not very often that products come along which change the way we all do things. It’s rarer still that a brand achieves the ultimate recognition of its name becoming synonymous with the act of using that product. Think about it, do you search the internet or do you simply Google? The only comparable I can come up with is Hoover’s impact on vacuum cleaning.
It got me thinking about where we’d all be without Google. Whether I’m looking for inspiration (which believe me is quite regularly!), doing some background research or looking for a phone number so I can book a table at a restaurant, Google is my first port of call. It really is one of the cleverest tools ever. From a consumer point of view, it couldn’t be easier to use and navigate; it transcends every age and demographic on the planet, yet no normal person has a clue how the wizardry behind it actually works!
Put simply, I love Google because it makes my life easier and that’s what great inventions are all about.
