WHITE SPACE DESIGN’S MD WINS PRESTIGIOUS BUSINESS AWARD

Neil Prentice, Managing Director of White Space Design, a member of the Jacob Bailey Group has been named the ‘Young Business Person of the Year’ in the recent Anglian Business Awards.

As one of three exceptional business people to be short listed for the prestigious award, Neil Prentice faced stiff competition at this year’s regional business awards run by Archant.

Neil’s winning entry illustrated the impressive growth White Space Design has enjoyed under his leadership in its first five years of trading – the agency has worked with over 200 clients and has gone from three to thirteen employees. His management style has led to a strong and motivated team and impressive staff retention. With a reported 8 out of 10 businesses no longer trading after the first five years, it is an achievement worthy of recognition.

In addition to this, a new and potentially lucrative market had been identified by the group in the property development sector and Neil was tasked with developing the services of White Space to maximise this opportunity.

Neil could see how the agency’s ethos and values offered a best-fit creative solution to the industry and set about putting together a White Space Design property marketing arm with specialist account management. The offer and balance of the new service proved to be attractive to prospective property clients and quickly gained a cluster of new business for the agency. More importantly however the property team produced a raft of impressive work for their new clients. The innovative work carried out for Higgins Homes’ development ‘The Hub’ saw them placed as runners up in the national and notoriously competitive Property Marketing Awards 2007, with Regatta Quay by City Living, another of White Space Design’s clients being voted Best Development in Suffolk in the Daily Mail Property Awards.
