We know a place...

The real story of a town is truly revealed.

The Problem

Many of the potential visitors in Ipswich’s catchment area, rightly or wrongly had a negative perception of the town? Our job was to encourage them to take another, more positive look and provide compelling reasons why they should spend some time (and money) in Suffolk’s county town.

The Solution

At Jacob Bailey, we know Ipswich as a place where yachts grace the water, where shops brim with character and there are acres of space to enjoy. Our job was to bring this to life and provide a guided tour around our favourite aspects of the town, just like we would if friends were coming to visit.

In our ‘We know a place’ campaign an elegant video combined with stunning photography to showcase the town. A social media whisper campaign was used to create a buzz prior to launch. And a comprehensive app was available to help visitors make the most of their time there.

What the client said

Ipswich was a town that had not lived up to its potential for too long. Ipswich Central set about changing that and appointed Jacob Bailey to devise a campaign to tackle perceptions head-on and to make people look under the surface of Suffolk’s County Town - ‘Ipswich Revealed’ was born! Over 125,000 views of the campaign’s promotional video later, and Ipswich is really a transformed place - more businesses, more residents, more visitors, more investment. The real story of the town has truly been ‘revealed’.
